Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on MP PET 2013...

Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi is facing lots of problems during present time. The main reason responsible was solved by the Haryana Government which has finally agreed to provide 100 acres of land to the Institute. Bunch of smiles were clearly available on the faces of the faculties and big dignitaries of IIT Delhi. They are very much relaxed and happy after they received the information about the extension of the campus.

Rakesh Kumar, who is registrar at IIT Delhi conveyed the message to us that B.Tech courses will not be started now in the new campus. Permission will be granted first from Ministry of Human Resource Development before finalizing the works at the extended space received. IIT-D is spread across 300 acres of land out of which 50 acres are forest area

Land will be basically used for research related activities and entrepreneurship development programmes. The new campus, when ready, will ease out space-related problems that the IIT is facing now. With the available spread of land already in use, there is no space left to construct facilities like more research labs. Also, the student strength of IIT-D at present is approximately 8000, for which the current campus is not adequate.

This is totally a kind of gift in the pocket of IIT Delhi students as the extended space will provide better and improved facilities to them. The use of campus will be done fast as they need to minimize the problems at such kind of big institution. MHRD will declare their decision soon as per the situation arises.

Thanks for Visiting Skool To College
