It is good news to hear that National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will soon turn out into a University. This is one of the appreciated news which will soon be heard by the government of India in the upcoming months. This will improve the education system in the entire part of India which will further strengthen our nation’s development in the coming time.
This was declared by the Human Resource development Minister, Kapil Sibal on the celebration of Golden Jubilee of NCERT. It was started in the year 1961 and has now gained popularity up to great extent. Parents and even students of today’s generation want to study NCERT syllabus by getting admissions in the CBSE schools. This is the reason why NCERT has touched great heights till now.
Many ministers have welcomed this new declaration as they also know that it is a good step to make the future generation more confident and intelligent too. This will also help NCERT to compete with the top global universities and research centres across the world. This new scheme is gaining momentum and it is a big hope that it will definitely pass by the central ministry.
HRD minister, Sibal has established a panel which will look out for this huge proposal and if it will pass then NCERT will prove out to be the biggest university in the entire nation. Professor Goverdhan Mehta is the Head of this academic panel which will look out the positive and negative expects of the settlement of this university.
Another new decision has been announced that the scholarship amount will soon be raised by the NCERT. At present, National Talent Search Examinations are conducted which provides Rs 500/month scholarship to the students doing well in this examination. Sibal said that raising the amount can force the student to prepare well for this exam and the student suffering from financial problems can easily use this advantage.
